This week marks 39 weeks and I am basically sitting and waiting... which stinks. But my days are pretty nice - now that I am off of work, I am able to get errands done, rest, hang out with mom, etc. I have included a few pics of the last week or so... Dad had a birthday golf tournament, Brighton turned 2 and had a Barbie party!!! I have included a few pics below...
Hopefully soon I will be blogging about Beckham or Elle!!!

Charlie Wilson
I have never really been much of a dog person. I think that some are cute, but I am not a fan of dog hair, bad smelling houses, chewed up furniture, stained carpets, etc. Back in February of last year, we decided to go to the Grapevine Pet Expo just to think about getting some type of little dog. Neither of us really grew up with lots of animals or anything, I think we just thought that it was the next step. We had been in an apartment, moved to a house, didn't want a kid yet...so seemed to make sense to think about a dog.
We took Rob's little brother, Nick, with us to the Expo. It was so funny to see what those two boys liked! I went with a Yorkie in mind. I could not get Rob to move away from the poodle section and Nick kept on picking up Chiuaua's that weren't bigger than my hand! It was so funny! My main concern was to get a dog that did NOT shed. After a while none of us could talk the others into our dog of choice... That is when we came across a baby pen with two larger dogs in it - these weren't new puppies - they were the ones that had probably been to 3 or 4 expos and never got 'chosen'. There was a puggle and this big fluffy mop looking dog... He jumped up so we would pet him and his bangs fluffed up and down over his eyes - he couldn't even see us! But he sure wanted to go home with somebody!!! So Rob gave it a shot - he picked up the dog and held it like a baby and the puppy just laid there without wiggling or squirming around - he looked up at us with his tongue out and his bangs covering his eyes - Rob said, "Let's call him Charlie!" Immediately we all three knew this was the one! This was the fluffy dog that we would take home and would be in all of our family pics!
Now over a year later, we couldn't have picked a better dog! Charlie makes us both smile - he doesn't shed, doesn't chew up furniture, doesn't really bark... but he does LICK! He will do whatever it takes to get a kiss in, and I guess at the end of the day - its not something that either of us will ever complain about!

36 Weeks!
36 weeks pregnant... All the women who have kids know what I am feeling - fingers and toes look like sausages, I have to waddle from place to place, stomach randomly jerks from side to side (usually in the middle of client meetings), and sleeping is pretty miserable. I am assuming God made it this way so that once the baby comes, I am already used to not sleeping - seems to make sense... Rob is a great husband and partner - he is very sympathetic and sweet to me - but I still wish they had some type of pill that boys could take that would give them all the symptoms just for like 24 hours :-)...
In the past few weeks/months we have been doing all of the normal things to get prepared for Baby Wilson. Painted the baby room, got a baby bed, registered at Babies R Us, had a baby shower, set up the nursery (see the pics below), and signed up for birthing classes. Monday night was our first of three classes. This one covered the details and stages of actual labor - it was very interesting and eye opening - I really never knew how big 10 centimeters really was! We are getting very excited not only to meet our baby, but that we get to find out if it is a he or a she!! I leave from work for maternity leave on Aug 14 - only 7 days left and then I can get all the tiny little last minute things done, then after that it will just be a matter of time!!

Twitter ... Really?
So Rob has been sucked into the tweeting world. Apparently facebook, myspace, blog, email, just wasn't quite enough to keep him busy. It is pretty funny to sit and just listen to him and his twitter friends discuss... A few days ago I sat on the couch while @_rob_wilson got a Twit-torial from @LindseyIngram - they discussed all of the twitter lingo - and there is a lot! I have done some research so that I can speak in his language at the dinner table - see below:
Not gonna lie - it seems pretty ridiculous, and I am not bashing the tweeters out there, because just like everything else, I am sure I will be sucked in and updating all my tweets within the next few months. But you do have to admit it is kind of funny to think/assume that there are people who are sitting and waiting for you to change your 'tweet' or status so that they can be your 'follower' or maybe they hope to 'TweetUp' later in the week. I guess it is pretty similar to blogging - more like blogging for the vain - just kidding @_rob_wilson - you know I love you.
I will say, it does seem to keep everyone in the loop. For example, this morning I was talking with my mom and she asked how my Sunday afternoon was. I told her it was a pretty normal lazy Sunday... She quickly asked me how my Bahama Bucks tasted... Thanks to Rob and the twit pic he uploaded, she knew everything down to the size and flavor that I got...
All of you TwitterBugs out there, please take no offense - I am sure I will be signed on and obsessed with Twitter very soon. In the meantime, if you are dying to follow Rob and see what he is doing and thinking at all times, by all means, follow him @_rob_wilson.
- DT (direct tweet):
A private (direct) tweet. Direct tweets do not appear in the public timeline. - Follower:
Someone who sees your tweets in their TweetStream. Following is, generally, not a reciprocal arrangement like it is with Facebook or LinkedIn. - RT or Retweet:
Analogous to forwarding an email; re-sending a tweet sent by someone else. Courtesy: include the @username of the person who authored the tweet. Remove multiple instances of “RT” (ie, edit!). Consider revising in your own words and then crediting the sender with via @username. - Tweet:
A 140-character message sent to Twitter via phone, the web, or a third-party applications. Tweet are public and can be read on the public TwitterStream with two exceptions: (1) direct tweets and (2) protected tweets. - TweetUp:
A real-world meeting of people who have connected via Twitter. - TwitterStream:
A collection of tweets; usually refers to the stream of tweets sent by everyone that you follow but may refer to the public timeline of all tweets. - Twitterati:
Celebrity and a-list Twits (or Tweeple or Tweeters)

Time to Blog
Looks like it is time for the Wilson's to begin a blog. I have thought about it in the past but found it hard to write something worthy of reading... I mean it has just been the two of us and our same old weekly routine. No one wants to hear about our nightly tv schedule:
Monday: The Hills
Gossip Girl
Tuesday: American Idol
90210
Wednesday: American Idol
Lost
Thursday: The Office
Grey's
Friday: Prison Break
Sunday: Desperate Housewives
WOW - kinda pitiful... Well I am sure that here in a few months Rob and I will be in for a rude awakening. We will no longer eat dinner on the fold out table in front of the tv, run to do some late night shopping, randomly decide to workout at 10pm, or enjoy a movie while laying in bed.
We will begin a new chapter in our lives - we will have a little Wilson - either a Beckham Law or an Elle Addison - that will keep us busy, tired, and happy.
I think we are going to need to purchase some extra DVR space in order to keep up with all of our shows!
